If you’re one of the world’s richest men, you don’t get that way from making bad predictions. For this reason, when Buffett makes one, people should listen. In his annual letter released at the end of February, he referred to the “strength of the American people, economy and spirit.”
He also forecast a recovery in the housing market “within a year or so” and that “America’s best days lie ahead.”
Don’t discount what Buffett says even though at this moment it seems like we are at a standstill. Fortunes were not built on being reactive, they’re built on foresight and calculated risk. Don’t miss the opportunity or it may pass. What we need to push past this difficult moment is some optimism and encouragement and I’m happy someone as influential as Buffett is the one doing it.
