365 Things To Do in Los Angeles – The Metro Art Rail Tour

Today on 365 Things to Do in Los Angeles, I profiled a fun event called No Pant’s Subway Ride 2011, which by the way takes place on January 9th on the Metro Red Line if you’re interested. If that’s a little too risque for you, how about something inspiring and FREE!

In LA, the metro is a topic sparks controversy among many, but if you follow if you take this advice and experience The Metro Art Rail Tour, it can also spark creativity. Fortunately, the Metro Art Department commissioned over 300 artists to engage transit riders during their voyage. Lucky for us, free tours are of…fered the first Thursday, Saturday and Sunday of every month. The tours are roundtrip and last approximately 2 hour and no reservations are required! It’s been described as “one of the most imaginative public art programs in the country” so it’s definitely worth the trip! And it’s free!
