Did you know that rice is the hardest thing to cook! If you’ve made it before you’ve probably noticed it’s super hard to keep the grains from sticking to one another. So here’s a great tip on how to avoid that!
1. Rinse grains before cooking to remove surface starches.
2. After the rice has cooked, pull off the heat and drape a clean, dry towel over top of the pot and place lid on top of towel.
3. Let sit for 10 minutes.
If you do that, the towel will absorb the steam and help prevent rice grains from sticking together. And then, you will never want to eat bad sticky rice again -that is unless it’s the real sticky rice!
